Escaping from Zuck
Trying hard to make the move from Facebook. I've "lived there" since it was more of a college age venue. Now it seems to have skewed to boomers and beyond. And Zuck sided with Trump - so I'm exiting.
Marketing and sharing my art…
I’m finding it hard to leave Facebook as a platform as it’s an easy way to share my art, photography and [deep] thoughts. It offered an easy way for people to comment on my creations - and for me to get feed-back. I hope this venue can do that equally as well if not better. But, it’s taking a while for people to catch on. Especially those who don’t have any idea what Substack is. So, I’ll keep posting here and on bluesky social (timnyberg.bsky.social) - until I find a better solution.
Another thing about Facebook that bugged me recently, Trump and Vance BOTH freely post on my page (until I( blocked them. Remember when Zuck banned Trump? Now he has seemed to roll out the red [tie] carpet for him. YUCK ZUCK!
And more and more ads and unsolicited posts.
So - here I am - for now.

(later converted to the pencil sharpener after sales fell short of expectations).

Finally, please be careful out there! FOTUS Trump has just release a bunch of dangerous convicted criminals. They now roam freely wearing their pardons like a badge of victory over the rule of law.
You rock!
I was on Facebook about 10 years ago, but only lasted a couple of months. I found it un-useful, mostly because people with whom I had no interest in being found by were finding me. Good luck with your endeavor.
I enjoyed the sledding (dishing) cartoon. I've often wondered how anyone in my generation survived: no helmets; no protective knee, elbow or wrist pads. Kids today hace specialized equipment for each and every activity. Gotta wear your painting helmet/beret!
